A 328-foot-long glass walkway—fittingly called the Coiling Dragon Cliff—allows visitors to walk along a suspended path at the top of Tianmen Mountain in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Located in the southern province of Hunan, this vertigo-inducing platform is only 5.24 feet wide and overlooks Tongtian Avenue. Designed by Israeli architect Haim Dotan the iconic mountain road that is said to have 99 spiral turns.

The bridge will be able to hold 800 visitors at a time.

Suspended 4,600 feet in the air, the walkway is terrifying and is not for those who are scared of heights. But this isn’t the first time that Zhangjiajie National Forest Park has been chosen for a height-defying attraction. The bridge which is 1,410 feet long and dangled over a 984-foot drop offers panoramic views of the landscape.

In comparison, the Grand Canyon Skywalk in Arizona is just 69 feet long and stands 718 feet above the canyon. The Zhangjiajie bridge isn’t only for casual tourism; it will serve as a runway for fashion shows, and it’ll be home to the world’s highest bungee jump. Construction is scheduled to wrap up in July, with an expected opening in October.

If hanging off the side of a mountain is your idea of fun, then we suggest China’s latest tourist attraction.
